Challenges

The company’s milled oats were packaged in multiwall paper bags that were heavy, costly, and consumed excessive warehouse space. The business needed a more efficient packaging option that would reduce costs, save space, and maintain product protection.

The Process

The team evaluated alternative packaging formats with a focus on weight reduction, durability, and recyclability. After testing, they replaced multiwall paper bags with lightweight, recyclable BOPP/PP woven bags. This shift not only improved stacking and storage efficiency but also reduced material use and overall logistics costs.

Solution
