The traditional multi-wall paper bag has applications in the animal feed, bird seed, food and chemical manufacturing sectors to name a few. The construction of these bags includes multiple plies of kraft paper which are fastened together to provide strength, flexibility and a suitable medium for printing.

Various types of paper used include natural kraft, bleach kraft, high performance kraft, ductile kraft and clay-coated. Any ply can be bonded to a moisture barrier (made from PE, PP or metalized polyester) to prevent sifting of the product, product spoilage or to protect the bag from oils contained within the product.
